I am a graduate researcher in both the Physics and Materials Science departments at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am originally a materials scientist and experimentalist, but by working with the group of Professor Aleksei Aksimentiev I hope to combine the disciplines of materials science and biophysics to better understand cutting-edge problems in nanomanufacturing. My current research focuses on the mechanical properties of DNA origami, DNA bricks, and other forms of DNA nanotechnology.
